Everything you need to know about Kynd Tincture.

We field a lot of questions, but one of the most common query is about our tincture. Specifically, people are interested in learning more about appropriate dosing and use for the Kynd Tincture. And we’re happy to help.

Cannabis tinctures vary from one grower to the next, but there are similarities all the same. Tinctures were the most common form of cannabis medicine in the United States before prohibited marijuana in the early 1900s, when they were also called green or golden dragon. Recreational and medicinal users alike shouldn’t be turned off by the name – tinctures are an ideal way to consume cannabis without combustion.

How do I take a tincture, and how fast does it work?

Kynd Tincture, like most, is taken orally. The fastest way to relief is sublingually – a few drops of tincture are placed beneath the tongue, where the arterial blood supply can quickly absorb THC. With this method, you can expect results anywhere from fifteen to forty-five minutes, with a peak around the ninety-minute mark.

It’s also possible to swallow tincture in food or a beverage, but absorption through the liver won’t be nearly as fast. You can expect results in the same timeframe as more traditional cannabis edibles, which is usually one to two hours or longer.

How do I measure the right tincture dose?

You may have heard cannabis tinctures described as “self-titrating,” which just means you can measure them yourself for appropriate dosing. Tincture dosing will vary, but Kynd Tincture contains 14g of medicine per bottle. Each dropper measures one gram (one milliliter). In our 300mg THC Tincture, each dropperful will contain approximately 21.43 mg of THC. In our 100 THC Tincture, each dropperful has roughly 7.14 mg of THC.

Consulting your budtender is always recommended, but 1mL is a good place to start with most tinctures, including Kynd. Start slowly, and increase dosage gradually over a few days’ time to find the right amount for you.

How long do tinctures last?

One of the benefits of a high-quality tincture is shelf life. Store your tincture properly in a cool, dry, dark spot, and you can expect it to last for years.
