If you’ve been gifted a bag or two of apples fresh off the neighbor’s tree, forget the pie. We looked high and low for some of the tastiest infused apple recipes, and we’ve settled on sharing just two. Start your mornings off right with infused apple cinnamon muffins, and then skip straight to dessert with an infused apple crisp. Either way, you’ll be putting those apples to good use!
Infused Apple Cinnamon Muffins
We’ve shared cannabis breakfast recipes before – a great way to kick start your mornings. These infused cinnamon apple muffins can be made ahead and kept in the freezer. Just microwave for a few seconds before enjoying.
- 3 cups flour
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¾ cup packed brown sugar
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 cup of milk
- ⅔ cup melted cannabutter (Leafly has a good recipe)
- 2 eggs (lightly beaten)
- 2 cups tart apples, cored, peeled and finely chopped
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 12-cup muffin tin, or insert paper cup liners.
In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder and cinnamon. Add remaining ingredients and stir until fully mixed, then spoon batter evenly into muffin tin.
Bake for 19-23 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool for about five minutes before removing from pan.
Infused Apple Crisp
Apple crisp is a classic autumn dessert, bursting with cinnamon-y apple slices topped off with buttery, crispy oats. There are a million variations and methods, but this one keeps it simple. And with the addition of Kynd’s CBD tincture, it’s also good for what ails you!
- 10 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- ½ cup water
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ cup cannabutter
- 1 ounce of cannabis tincture
Begin by preheating oven to 350. Spread apples on a greased 13×9 baking dish.
In a small bowl, mix together 1 tablespoon of flour with the white sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Sprinkle on apples and then pour the water over the top.
In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of flour, oats, brown sugar, remaining teaspoon of cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, cannabutter and CBD tincture. Combine with fork until resembles small crumbs, then spread mixture evenly over the apples.
Bake 45 minutes and serve warm. Enjoy!
